Fatal1ty Wins CPL WT USA

Tonight saw Fatal1ty winning the CPL WT USA stop after beating Vo0 twice on Sacred (12-11;26-16). Although Vo0 had a strong start on Sacred, the first game was very close with both players having the lead at various times, resulting in a one frag win for Fatal1ty. On the second map, Fatal1ty went on to push ahead 22-0 at one time, with Vo0 making a partial comeback.

Fatal1ty is only the second player to beat Vo0 and win a CPL event; SteLam having previously won at CPL Spain.

  1. Excellent… Fatal1ty deserved it. Always it has been the greatest Gamer in the World. VoO is Tremendous, but this time Fatal1ty was simply spectacular, monster. The second Map, Sacred, were of another world… 22-0 in single one 8 minutes, Impressive! Congratulations to Fatal1ty….This time is the best one, it returned to be the Best one, and than it continues being best… the for a long time more Greatest one, Fatal1ty Nº 1!

  4. Fatality is a freak to be able to jump from game to game like a frog. He deserves respect (doesn’t everybody?), and the hating must stop. I never would have believed he could take a World Tour stop, but he proved me wrong.

    This is not a case of Rickson Gracie practice room BS. I think the cyber-sports community is WAY TOO HARD ON HIM.

  6. Tons of amazing matches at this event. In particular, it was awesome to watch meatless played on the big screen on the stage with casting by TSN. Best meatless matchups were Fatal1ty vs vo0 in upper finals, dj vs Ztrider (stake madness by dj), and vo0 vs Ztrider in lower finals. Fatal1ty was a beast. Vo0 will be practicing 😀

    Sorry to see you lose, Sander. You were fun to watch and hang around with. And thanks for the input on the map ;).

  7. Yeah, I have a feeling Vo0 is going to come back in a major way.

    Fat and Ztrider keep getting better, and Vo0, well… he’s always been the best.

  10. W00T!, I went to Antwerp and made 1 frag against fat!
    The Sound Blaster X-Fi is mine ^^! It was an outaim kill as well! just rocket vs rocket – first blood =D

    neway, nobody managed to beat fat. only some belgium guy made a lucky spawn stake kill and also go the soundcard.

    Was fun to be there
