  1. I hope it gets a lot bigger.. 110 servers max atm, not that much.. 20 of my best pinging servers: 17 have password.. 17 of them are 1v1 servers and 8 of them are full atm.. (usually more).. Painkiller is much bigger, but still just a very small 1v1 game for competative players.. I really hope BOOH will be awsome and change that :]

  2. I honestly think that one of the main contributing factors of the game not becoming that “BIG”, which has been overlooked, is the game is unforgiving in multi-player. I could be dead wrong though, who knows.

I personally think PK is a far more engrossing game of 1vs1 than D3.

  3. ‘I personally think PK is a far more engrossing game of 1vs1 than D3’

Yes I agree. I also would suggest that it is more interesting than CS? I’m not going to readily snub Q3 though 😉 Perhaps I am biased.

  4. I think PK CTF has the potential of attracting a large player base to the game, as well as the release of the SDK. Thunderwave PK CTF anyone?

  5. CTF is by far what I am looking forward to me. Rarely do I see people playing FFA or PCF on a server I have less than 100 ping (I’m on west coast of US). I think/hope CTF will get mroe people playing on public servers and hopefully be a played competitively. It may attract some of the people cming from team-based games, maybe UT2k4.

  6. me=most. I don’t know where I got me from. You probably also know that mro is more and cming is coming.

  7. lol ubremeng 😉

I can’t wait for full on CTF either. I just hope the server situation rectifies itself soon…

  8. 1st (zhrance) got new cpu, motherboard, ram and i think a gfx card too
    2nd (me) got a headset
    3rd/4th got nothing
    -.-

  9. “1st (zhrance) got new cpu, motherboard, ram and i think a gfx card too
    2nd (me) got a headset
    3rd/4th got nothing
    -.-”

That’s pretty bad :/ Hope they’ll change this this time

  10. “Whilst over 70 people applied to join the competition I had to limit spaces to 32 players, these being chosen by picking the 16 best players and then 16 ?others? from the remaining players.”
    ^^ from jolt page.

i think this is quite unfair since many players who are definately better than me were not chosen to play there.
i dont get it why they dont make it a 64 players tournament, they got enough signups for that.

  11. i dont know how everybody havent pissed of watching only the same players in each tourney this way they are not giving chance to the new players in the game to show skills

  12. PK seems intresting, but I still think UT2k4 is a better game, and I think lots of ppl agree with me..

But I belive that the growing community is because of the money that is in PK with the worldtour.. And not because of the game was good, its just my thuoght.. But I shouldnt say anything before I tried the game, but I will because it seems intresting =)

  13. the thing with PK is that when it started to die, ppl had other good games to play (ut2k4, cs, q3…) and everybody was happy. The ones who didn’t try the game started to tell everybody that it sucks etc… just like now. many ppl ask me: “Why o you play that sucky game ??” and then I find out that they have never even tried it.
Ppl are just afraid of new games and even don’t want to try it out. I’m sure right now PK community will be growing bigger and bigger… but imo it will never have such success like ut2k4 had ;P

  14. ‘PK seems intresting, but I still think UT2k4 is a better game, and I think lots of ppl agree with me’

I agree that UT2k4 is a more polished game, but then again it’s had 5 years of patches, maybe in 5 years PK will be much different 🙂 I’m not sure it is the better 1v1 game though, from my perception not many even outside the PK community would agree with UT being better 1v1.

‘and then I find out that they have never even tried it’

I think when PK is stable, just prior to CPLWT, a fixed second mp demo, free PKTV client, could help a lot.
