PK++ supports v1.64

A little update today. PK++ 0.9 has been made compatible with patch v1.64. It also contains a few minor fixes and changes. Please bear in mind 0.9 (0.9.1.64 now) is still a beta version. I suggest you to read to readme located in \Bin\PK++Documentation.ZIP. If you have questions/suggestions, contact us at mods@pkeuro.com. Read the full list of fixes and features below:

CHANGE: Support for PCF version 1.64
CHANGE: Cfg.RocketFix default set to true
FIX: Pitabot minor fix for players joining game
FIX: Removed temptation to add old changelog to current version to make it seem more
FIX: Freezer is now showing on simplehud
FIX: Ammobackground is now working correct on simplehud
ADD: \version command to check local PK++ version
ADD: DisableHud [0/1] disables hud for map images
ADD: \camerayaw | \camerapitch for mapper image support

Download the update via Steamfish. If you dont have a previous version of PK++, download Steamfish installer first and run it.

*UPDATE* Some extras added (run Steamfish again or grab Standalone Installer):

ADD: Orange and Pink options for brightskins
CHANGE: Low gfx effects re-enabled
FIX: Low gfx settings causing gradual fps loss
FIX: PCF bug, decal stay time set to Off failed to save to config
ADD: \nodecals [0/1] for toggling decal rendering ingame
ADD: Cfg.ShowTimerShadow, Cfg.ShowFPSShadow, Cfg.ShowPingShadow added

Oh, and DM_Q1KMB and DM_Lukin were added. πŸ™‚

  1. Is it normal that i can’t launch vanilla pk or original exe without crash and error message ? Since patch 1.64… Only pk++ shortcut work :/

  2. \version is a nice command feature.. still looking forward to be able to remove “net” score in new scoretable and hud in demoplayback.

    PKPlus.pak
    PKPlusData.pak
    Fonts.pak
    Locs.pak
    Waypoints.pak
    Mapview.pak
    Hitsounds.pak

    To install on a Windows or Linux server, rename the PKPlus.pak to LScripts.pak and run normally.

    Standalone installs normally follow a short time after steamfish updates. A standalone server install will follow also.

  5. would be even better to get the fps lag sorted that i get after playing for like 8 mins with pk++ mod higher then v 0.4

  6. xYGVOT/rulaman Cfg.FallingDamage = true – the default was set to false during the 0.9.1.62 due to the risk and implications of the PCF excessive falling damage bug occuring at the CPL.

  7. Blowfish: Still ignoring my remove cfg.netscore = false ? πŸ˜€ Anyway, I thought the /version commando would reveal what all the players have as mod not only what you have yourself. This would be nice so you can check that everyone has the latest with the latest rules and so on. So you force all players to give the version command to everyone public just like many other games.

    Other feature: Be able to have personal jump and being hit sounds but still have the same model as everyone else but the sounds could be from another model.

  8. is it possible, that the rocketfix dosen`t work right now? All the same whether I have on or out (offline, dedi server), it does not go! I fly still if I am hit.. πŸ™

  9. s0f4surf3r, ensure you’ve run steamfish until no further update occurs. Then try again. Compare with proplus on/off also.

    It goes without saving that both rocketfix and proplus are server commands, and must be rcon’d or typed into the server console.

  10. Outs, ouch, hard words.. I am just a guy trying to help out, I do not claim anything else, do I? I will copy and paste my comments in a mail but since blowfish did “note” things down in here I thought that was enough. And about he ignoring me was a joke, you guys see the BIG smiley afterwards? I have been stating comments here for a long time and said how much appreciate your work with pk++ and so on.. anyway, thanks for the harsh reply.. :-/

    And regarding netscore, I do think that people would like to have it and it’s nothing wrong with having it, I just want a command that makes it possible to remove it, since for me and some other players I talked to sees it as misleading when checking the score fast in a duel match but mostly in a TDM game. So what’s wrong having a feature to be able to remove it, and those players would like to continue using the new great scoreboard by the way so using old scoreboard is not what I am looking for.

  11. Great job pk++ crew. Just one small request though. Can you add an option for a different timer font with a black outline / shadow? The current timer is very hard to see if I’m looking at sky or at a bright wall.

  12. At last πŸ™‚ i feel joy playing pk. Can anybody tell me how can i send pk++ a “wish cvar”, begging them to add the option that player could change m_pitch/yaw values. I always played with custom pitch/yaw, there must be more players who would love to see this option.

  13. Psychojo, you probably noticed it got fixed.
    high_road, input adjustments cannot be easily modded since they only exist in the core. This requires a PCF change.

  14. @ blowfish is it possible to add the two new weapons from BOOH to the Voosh mode ?

    At the momment the voosh mode only uses the weapons form “vanila” PK.
